Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions here at Islamic Bakers & Confectioners (Mehrab Bakery), there is also lots of information to be found on our Delivery information page or alongside each product. Is there a minimum order size?

No, you can buy as little, or as much, as you like!

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to the UK, including the Channel Islands, and also to Republic of Ireland. We do not currently deliver to Continental Europe or the USA, however we are hoping to add these regions to our delivery list very soon. If you do need to have any of our products shipped to the USA or Europe please email us.

Who will deliver my parcel?

We use Parcelforce, our overnight courier service.

What is the delivery charge?

For an order of any size for delivery on a weekday, itís £9.95 to the UK mainland; £15.95 to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Scottish Isles; and £29.95 to the Channel Islands and Ireland. There is a supplement of £3.00 for delivery on a Saturday.

How long does delivery take?

It is an overnight delivery - we despatch your parcel in the evening for delivery the following day. However, we need notice on all orders. This can range from 24 hours to a week, depending on what you want to order. Add the products you'd like to your shopping basket and proceed through the checkout and you will be given the delivery options before paying.

How will my food keep cool enough in transit?

All our foods are individually packaged in heavy duty cardboard a box insulated with polystyrene. There is bubble pack to keep the goods secure.

I live in the middle of nowhere. How will the delivery driver ever find me?

As our courier, Parcelforce, is part of Royal Mail, they locate your property using your postcode. As long as this is correct, the driver will have no problem finding where you are.

Will the courier 'leave safe' my parcel if I'm not in?

It is preferable for you to be in to receive delivery as our couriers, Parcelforce, do prefer a signature. However, if you fill in the Ďspecial instructionsí box on the checkout page with where the courier can leave your parcel, this will be passed on to the driver.

Do you have a shop?

Yes we do, it is located at 18 Banks Street, Mount Pleasant, Batley, West Yorkshire, WF17 7NR.

I live quite close to you. Can I come to collect my food?

You can certainly collect your goods from us but you still need to order in advance. Please call us in the office on 01924 472341 for further details.

I have specific dietary requirements. How can I find out which of your foods are suitable for me?

We are in the process of compiling full ingredients for every product we sell, most are already listed on the individual product pages - click onto the product and then the box labelled 'ingredients' alongside the code.
